Volunteers for several recent exercise studies were asked to look for two strolls for the same amount of time or distance; one inside on a home treadmill and the other exterior. “In virtually all the studies,” the days reported, “the volunteers reported enjoying the exterior activity more and, on subsequent psychological tests, obtained significantly higher on options of vitality, eagerness, pleasure and self-esteem and lower on anxiety, depression and tiredness after they strolled outside.”
If you work out in natural surroundings, you’ll stick with it longer.
